ParticipantWhat you guys have to realize is this nation was founded on Christianity.
You’re correct. So we should definitely ban divorce too since God forbid it. Which means we should abolish alimony too since divorce is illegal in the eyes of God.

ParticipantInteresting point zk. And something I thought of a while ago and forgot until now. Yeah gays should be able to put their own label on a state-sanctioned union between two of the same sex.
The biblical view disturbs me just as much as abortion and womens rights. If we stood back and thought of it as human rights and not just marriage or womens rights maybe gays and the unborn(who have acquired consciousness), would all be given equal protection.

ParticipantInteresting thread. Now, I don’t know if I believe this, but I will throw it out there, because this point has not been discussed yet. I had a professor many years ago who said that homosexuality was a natural method of reducing overpopulation. (Arraya–where are ya on this one?)
As for gay marriage, let it be so. Sexuality is A LOT more fluid then many would like to admit, and I imagine that scares some folks. There are numerous “straight” people engaging in gay sex–take a look at our politicians….hmmmm….
Marion, I recommend refresher courses in Cultural Diversity and Sexuality–they are required courses for state licensure.
