Participant
AFF,
Hmm, my post did not refer to anyone being said pig. So how can the post be a personal (ad-hominem) attack?
Here is a personal observation:, some people might even call it an attack: You are not nearly as smart a you think you are. Loosen up!
“If I had a choice of weapons with you, Sir, I’d choose grammar!” From Capra’s “Lady for a Day” (Damon Runyan, writer).

Participant
Very well put, Brian. There’s a saying that goes,
“Don’t wrestle with pigs. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it”.
My corollary: If you are going to wrestle with pigs, don’t bother trying to do it cleanly. You will loose and the pigs won’t respect you anyway.
Sounds related to the saying I’ve often heard:
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
Not implying anything here, the quoted post just reminded me of the saying.
