“Shortage of homes?” LOL The listings vs. sales activity ratios alone prove that one to be an outright lie.
Offhand I’d say that ongoing price corrections are doing a lot more for affordability than government subsidies of developers ever could. Throwing $50k/unit rebates at developers would only increase their profit margins by $50k.
