My brother just sold his place with no agents on either side, this is the ideal. I sold my place a few years ago using a discount agent who charged .9%. The goal was to find a buyer to come without an agent but that was difficult in those days because the public had no access to the MLS like they do today. If my buyer didn’t have an agent, one or both of us could have saved the 3% on the buyers side.
