It is difficult to follow It is difficult to follow threads on iPhone/iPad because there is no touch gesture to jump to the bottom. I end up flicking my finger for 15 minutes to get to the bottom of long threads, then have to click to the last page, then scroll down again to get to the bottom of that page to read the newest posts.
This is Apple’s problem and not Rich’s, but page links at the top of threads will certainly mitigate the “finger scrolling flick of death” issue.

I’ve always thought that I’ve always thought that showing the most recent responses rather than the earliest would be more convenient. Generally, if you’re following a thread, you want to go to the latest posts. Showing the most recent posts under the original post and having the older ones on other pages would save some time and clicking in that case. Or at least the option to have the newest shown first would be good. (Do we already have that option and I just don’t know about it?)
The numbers on top would be good also.

I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know how to do this. If anyone knows enough about programming Drupal themes to do it, I’d be happy to implement it, but it’s beyond my own meager abilities.

I could take a stab as well. I could take a stab as well. Probably just a block of code you convert into an include and include it at both top/bottom of the theme.

It’s PHP but Drupal has this It’s PHP but Drupal has this whole theming engine thing… you have to code in an override in a template, you can’t mess with the drupal source or it will be blown away when you update the source code. So it’s not a matter of knowing PHP but of knowing how their theming engine works. I never figured out how to do those override, but I admit I haven’t put a lot of time into that aspect. Anyway I can show either of yall the code.
