WAMU is going to survive, and here is their strategy:

Be so big that the government won't let the bank go under.

Seriously, that is what they are doing. That is why they are offering everything for free along with massive credit lines to those who open new credit accounts. I opened up a free WAMU checking account the other day and BOOM they gave me a Mastercard with a $30k credit line and 9 months of 0% interest.

Remember, if you are a liberal your bumper sticker says "Save the Whales" and if you are conservative your bumper sticker says "Save the Corporations."
