Weird and very sad. On my drive home from Houston over TG my first leg back was to Amarillo, home of Big Texan where the famous 72 oz steak is (eat it in a hour and it is free). While driving I called a freind to tell him I would be eating there and about the guy that held the record for over 20 years by eating it in 9.5 minutes that is a close freind, Frankie Pastore. No more than a few minutes after that conversation my wife called and said that Frankie was in a horrible motorcycle accident the previous night. His picture is still on the menu at the Big Texan and I sat there that night just stunned. He remains in a coma http://www.bigtexan.com/free72facts.html (he is third picture from top)

So sorry to hear about your friend, desmond. Though his injuries are serious, it sounds like he might be able to recover. Hope he gets better soon.
Motorcycle accidents suck. :(
Very sorry to hear this--always a shock when something unexpected happens to someone close. Prayers are with you.
Frank passed away today, he never awoke from his accident. Frank was in a motorcycle accident on the 210 freeway, he was hit by a car that drifted into the carpool lane. This is a quote from Frank from his radio show that very day
"I mean look, you guys know I ride a motorcycle don't you? So, at any moment, especially with the idiot people who cross the diamond lane into my lane, alright, without any blinkers, not that I'm angry about it, but at any minute I could be spread out all over the 210 (Freeway), but that's not me, that's my body parts. That key distinction under-girds the entire Judeo Christian worldview and also your pursuit of reality."
Make sure to enjoy life.
Wow...he really said that they day of his accident????
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, desmond. :(
desmond - I'm sorry for your loss.
My condolences desmond. I hope he's in a cool place.

Read this on what he said:

Some things bring you back to reality on what is important. I am having a Revelation with this and am actually happy for Frank and his family now. He had a strong belief, stronger than most, much stronger than mine and he lives on.
Thank you for your kind words. I am soul searching again.
desmond, I just listened to Frank's "prophetic" soundbyte from the day of his accident and was amazed that he was discussing this so matter-of-factly.
This is very sad and I'm so sorry for your loss. And I can identify with the "soul searching" you're now revisiting. Life can be so very fragile.

There is a lot to be said about a belief in an afterlife.
Hope your spiritual journey brings you peace and greater understanding. Feel free to share some of your insights here if you feel up to it.
