Very Illuminating Short Sale ArticlesUser Forum Topic
Submitted by urbanrealtor on September 28, 2008 - 10:45am
I won't post the entire text of these articles. Just links. The brief re-hash is that short sales create very weird market distortions. http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/... This is of specific interest to any in the central urban area because it helps to explain why there are so many gorgeous and affordable places and why you can't buy them. As an agent who helps buyers and sellers in central San Diego, I find this adds academic qualitative (and some quantitative) description to phenomena that I and my colleagues have been describing for about a year. This has been the topic of several email exchanges with Rich (on a side note: Wouldn't "Mr. T" be really rad nickname for him?) I am curious if anybody has anything to contribute on this (anecdotal or otherwise). Full disclosure: I am the agent Kelly quotes in the article.
