Some fun rumorsUser Forum Topic

So the rumor was that when Hillary was out in China begging them not to cut off our credit line, she brought up the topic of emminent domain for China in unspecified US locations in the case of a default on debt. The second rumor which I believe to be much more concrete is the introduction of legislation by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to force employers to hired unskilled workers. That is, for a given number of workers a company hires that are skilled, they must hire a certain number that have basically no skills. We need to be fair! ************* The person telling me this couldn't elaborate on where he/she heard this stuff. I would assume right wingnut radio, (to which admittedly I listed to during sportstalk commercials) However, nothing surprises me these days. Go ahead guys, crucify me!

SDR: Dude, no crucifixion here, but I thought I would pass along something that isn't a rumor (and one that you would appreciate): The Cowboys cut T.O.! Yup. How cool is that? I've been having the week from hell, work-wise, and when I heard that I couldn't stop laughing.
Hilary Clinton giving Ohio to the Chinese would probably take the edge off my glee over T.O., but still...
Stop listening to that right wing radio, man, it rots your brain. Like reading the "Daily Kos".

Yeh, beware of the dark side, SD R.
The company that I work for hires a lot of college-educated unskilled workers. I have no problems with Nancy' bill.
A quick search on thomas.loc.gov does not yield any legislation of this kind sponsored by either Pelosi or Reid. I'm not sure if it's even possible for both of them to have their names on a bill, since Pelosi is a representative and Reid is a senator.
I have a few theories of government action myself actually....
Now that I am low on meds, I have even more...

I miss KLSD 1360 I still listen to Air America when I'm driving through LA.
I am happy to see TO in whatever mess he finds himself in. What a talent......What a lunatic!
Someone is gonna pick TO up...
Allan you gotta believe big AD is looking at him. Siver and Black look great on TO!

Washington, DC - President Barack Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress are considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA) is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.
"Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society," said California Senator Barbara Boxer. "We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing."
In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent of postal employees lack any job skills, making this agency the single largest U.S. employer of Persons of Inability.
Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination against the Inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry (68%), and home improvement warehouse stores (65%). At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons of Inability (63%).
Under AWNAA, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.
Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given so as to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability into middle-management positions, and gives a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.
Finally, the AWNAA contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, "Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job?"
"As a Non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them," said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, due to her inability to remember rightey tightey, lefty loosey. "This new law should be real good for people like me," Gertz added. With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Said Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), "As a Senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so."
***I found it was only a joke but a damn scary good joke***
We already have a full employment act for people with no abilities. It's called government.
What a perfect response.
Government employees defeated the Nazi's in Europe and put a man on the moon.
The moon thing was done for less money than Goldman Sachs lost last year, I'll add.
Whats on your resume?
lol..............................ha ha ha....lol
SDR: Man, why you gotta be that way? I'm already looking forward to splitting my football loyalties between the 49ers and the Raiders and that move might cause me to jump ship entirely.
He is an absolute cancer and the only bigger idiot than Jerry Jones in the NFL right now is Al Davis (well, and William Clay Ford in Detroit). Yeah, I can see T.O. coming to Oaktown and pulling the same s**t that Randy Moss pulled. Although, once Jamarcus gets that gun firing... He'd definitely add a deep threat and Russell can put that rock down range pretty damn well. It would open up Johnny Lee Higgins, too. Crap, now I'm actually considering it!
You know odd as it seems, adding him to the raiders may not be nearly as harmful as adding him to a more contending type of team. I swear as odd as it may seem, he may be pretty functional there.
SDR: Geez, it never ends with you! A "more contending type of team". Well, that is a nice way of saying that the Raiders suck, I guess.
I do agree, though. And in that locker room, T.O. wouldn't really stand out that much.

Who else is going to pick up those UAW workers. Just kidding, that was mean...

You'd be surprised how much folks still get the "rightey/tightey" "lefty loosey" mixed up. I a frienddrop by complaining his mechanic couldn't take off his oil filter. The dude cranked the filter in the opposite direction. It took a pair of locking vise-grips to unscrew the damn thing, and the center bolt that normally the filter attaches to came off with the filter. Nice.
Guys, grammatically the only proper way to use TO and functional in the same sentence is to apply dys to front end of the later.
Sorry about that allan... I did have to laugh out loud at your post though... Ya know the raiders have had the past couple of seasons where they finished strong. That win at TB last year at the end was pretty cool. They could have easily packed it in.
It is such a shame to waste the defense that they have had the past few years.
TO is just an enigma... Physically the guy is a specimen... Look compare him to say Marvin Harrison right now. Marvin is a class guy but is pretty broken down. At 14 years in the league TO is pretty darn near top shape...The only bad thing I can think of "on the field" is that he has been dropping more balls.
However you cannot deny that they guy does cause the defense to have to rotate someone on top over him. I am a little surprised the Giants didn't go after him after they dropped Plax but thier coach doesn't put up with sht so good for him.
SDR: I'm not taking anything away from his physicality on the field. He IS a specimen. He's not that great a receiver, though. He does drop more than his fair share of passes. His claim to fame is once he has the ball and is loose. Most DBs are physically outmatched by him (hell, so are some linebackers) and he is damn hard to bring down.
It's also all the attendant baggage you have to put up with. The drama, and the crybaby routine and the incessant "look at me!" sideshow that is T.O. I really think he's mentally ill and, no, I'm not saying to be cruel or sarcastic. I think he's suffering from a mental disorder (remember the overdose?) and much of this is a cry for help.
So, yeah, SDR: He's a perfect fit for the Raiders. It would be kind of fun watching Jamarcus airing it out like the Raiders did in the past under Lamonica and Stabler, though.

actually bills can be cross body sponsored, things like Glass-steagal
which was sponsored by senator glas and rep steagal, the bill which
kept the banks stable for 70 years.
Just the beginning SD R. Hard to know if those specific rumors are true or not, but the trend toward socialism is indisputable so dumb yourself down and you will have better employement prospects. Since we know each other I have to tell you that I think you are too intelligent to get one of these government/private sector not jobs.
This country is going to change big time, time will tell if it will be for the better or the worse. Unlike many who are so sure they know exactly what will happen, I do not. It worries me but we just have to wait and see. It is very funny however, to watch this circus play out, one mishap after another. That Kid Biden is a laugh a minute, kind of reminds me of Leslie Nielson's character in Airplane. Plus that plastic surgery makes him look Chinese. Much better than Cheney who we never heard a peep from.
I love the rumor that the tax cheater is announcing he is cracking down on the tax cheats, is he is going to start off by fining himself? How will he run the treasury from prison? Will he get his own private tent like Barkley is getting? If he just fined all the cabinet members he might be able to make a dent in some of the social program funding that is required.

Wasn't the point of Glass-steagal to separate investment banking from commercial banking??? Oops.
