Of the 620 bills sponsored by Ron Paul during his long career in the House of Representatives, only four have ever made it to a vote on the House floor and only one of those became an actual law. An analysis by The Washington Post shows that Paul's success rate of 0.2 percent falls far below that of most legislators, as Paul has chosen to stand up for his personal crusades, rather that build coalitions for more popular, but less ambitious, proposals.

I think that captures the essence of Ron Paul pretty well.

One of my favorites is the bill he proposed to end income tax. You know, because it's unconstitutional, of course.

And don't bother with the "Ohio wasn't a state" nonsense:

That's an interesting response to an invitation to watch the man speak. Are you saying that someone who stands up for and fights for his ideals is a failure?

It's my response to yet another Ron Paul thread.

I'm not saying he's a failure.

His track record speaks for itself.

Exactly he hasn't agreed with the other nitwits in Congress who put us $16T + in the hole. That's a man on of integrity. He brings several bill forward all the time, the nitwits just don't agree with him, yet... Several younger versions of Ron Paul are getting elected into the Congress though and without his leadership through the years the revolution would have never started to happen.

It would be funny to see him get elected and then just spend his time calling everyone else in government "nitwits." He wouldn't accomplish anything, but it would be funny.
