Prepackaged Questions

Honestly I would rather post about real estate instead of politics.

Gibbs trying to flounder his way through explanations about why the presidents prepackaged questions are not really prepackaged. Honestly it is just as laughable as the Bush Administration was. Different president but the same old story.

Following a testy exchange during Wednesday’s briefing with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas told CNSNews.com that not even Richard Nixon tried to control the press the way President Obama is trying to control the press.

“Nixon didn’t try to do that,” Thomas said. “They couldn’t control (the media). They didn’t try.

“What the hell do they think we are, puppets?” Thomas said. “They’re supposed to stay out of our business. They are our public servants. We pay them.”

What was laughable about the Bush administration? Is that just standard dialogue for Obama voters? Bush is Einstein compared to Obama and his administration was ran like the race to the Moon or the Manhattan Project compared to the way the idiots in charge now are running the show.

This whole left and right wing polarity is so 20th century. We need to get past all this.

The forest, John, not the trees. You can do it.

I like watching Gibbs- he reminds me of the old version of Saturday Night Live when it was funny.

jf - I voted for Bush. Looking back I probably would have done it again given the alternative. The one thing about Bush is that I knew what I was getting. I would rather know the poison then not know it. I don't think he was terribly intelligent but I do believe he truly did believe in capitalism and I think he did believe in the fact that there are nations that want to see western ideals wiped off the map.

I am much more fearful of our current president for many reasons. Moreover what scares me the most is the love affair the media has. My brother said it was just like this when Lyndon Johnson was in office but I was to young back then. He seems to not be worried as much. My entire family LOVES the new administration while my wife and I are characterized as the fearmongering crazy right wingers. In reality we are simply liberals who want to see a reduction in the size of government.

Looking back, your statements are correct, I dont think Bush is laughable compared to now. Maybe in a sort of Gilligan sort of way but what is going on scares me a hell of alot more then Bush ever did not because of how smart Obama is, but because of how he has captured society by his cult of personality. It is like one of those dreams where I keep trying to wake up and cannot.

Does your family all work for the government with the exception of you and your wife? They are the only people who seem to be prospering from the economic downturn.

Veritas they are not! None of them are working for the govt. That is the thing I don't understand. My folks are depression era and they hold FDR up as a god. My brothers, two of them are in the 50's. My family as always been die hard dems. Pretty much the entire family, not just parents and siblings of mine. So at every family event inevitably politics becomes a conversation. My wife and I used to argue and such but now it is like, they all REALLY become emotional. Its like, everything is Bushes fault, the housing bubble, out of control healthcare, you name it, it is all his fault. Like if Gore was the president no bad things would have happened right?

That is the thing Veritas, they are like, blindly in love with the guy! He can do no wrong in thier eyes. They don't mind giving up more money to taxes, they don't mind government "taking care of you" and redistributing wealth.

They want that.

I think my parents may be on crack.
