OT: new years eve

traditions....the last 5 years we have jumped in a pool at midnight. we have a fairly firm family commitment to always jump in a freezing body of water at the stroke of midnight for the foreseeable future.

this year Im also going for 250 lb squat, 3x3. hoping the energy of the night will carry me over the top. plus no booze.

i may try to incorporate an annual lift on new years eve. how many new years do i have left?

my wife was howling with laughter at some little notes/to do list i wrote to myself while in joshua tree.

"no more rushing"....

"be stoked" ....

etc.

But look like last night I was hanging around w my kid doing 90 lb front squats with a small duffle g filled w 90 lbs sand in the living room. No way I'd have been doing that if I'd been drinking.
