Ok patriot soapbox speakers... Just a reminder that it's again time to put your money where your mouth is. Check out this video: New Balance CEO. The ONLY shoe manufacturer still producing in the U.S. (25% of shoes are made here.) http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/p... CEO comments: gap of producing overseas in China is reducing, due to increased labor cost overseas. So.........It's time put up or shut up..... Also, these are pretty comfortable shoes.... http://www.sasshoes.com/main/view_styles... Ya'll buy them shoes from good ole folks in San Antonio, TX, ya hear. http://www.sasshoes.com/main/our_factory... (Video is kinda cool)

I actually have 2 pairs of New Balance right now.
I have three pairs of US made NBs, a pair of US made Allen Edmonds dress shoes and quite a few belts that were made here in America - all purchased in the last few years.
The tiny few of us still working in manufacturing tend to feel pretty strongly about the degree of patriotism shown by purchasing products made domestically by companies that haven't been destroyed by the MBAs yet.
I only buy NB running shoes. I have wide feet. Had no clue where they were made.
New Balance shoes are very popular among a certain demographic.
Heh. You can buy the shoes from NB's website or buy it from an etailer for cheaper

Only select models are made in usa.
Me too! I've lived in those things for years...had no idea the USA angle but I think I'll go stock up on them now!
Wide feet is the exact reason I buy them.
And Concho...the photo in that link is the exact style I buy...weird. Who knew I was white? :-)
Thanks for the insight, I had no idea there were still sneakers made here. I'm in!
Here's another fun USA product. Talk about perfect for San Diego:

Folks, in your quest of consumerism encouraged by your government... (err I mean, to contribute to our GDP), you might consider posting interesting things you run across still made here that others might be interested in knowing about.... with the exception of food, toiletry, and cars... (Yes yes, I know i know GM/Ford... But come on...How often does one really purchase a new car?)
I like Adidas. Would never buy New Balance. Ugly styling.
My favorite shoes

That's why I buy New Balance. Their shoes are AWESOME. For dress shoes I typically buy Italian made on discount. Although I recently bought an awesome pair of Cole Haan's that were made in Mexico of all places.
I also have the ONLY brand of tennis racket NOT made in China...Yonex.
Shades made in usa (only ones that I know of)....All oakleys, to my knowledge.
Oakley also makes shades for kids.....(left). Fits a 3 year old just fine.

optometry store in the 99 Ranch Supermarket off of Clairemont has decent prices.
Cary Audio Design, Conrad Johnson and Martin Logan. I know folks that work in all three and used to be a supplier to the first.
Fiesta dinnerware. Extremely durable and well-made. Lead-free and made in the U.S.A.

Most of the Klipsch high end speakers are US made. I have a stereo set and home theatre set.
I compared all the high end speakers available when I bought my stereo set and Klipsch was the best in performance in a wide range of music types. Some speakers are great with rock but not so great with jazz, etc, these are awesome all-around.

USA makes some stellar bikes:

I have a Cannondale and honestly have been blown away by the quality and durability.
USStuff.com, what a good idea.
I have a Marantz USA made amp/stereo and a friend bought a US made Harman Kardon HK but those were bought a while back. Can't find many details on USA made sound equipment now, so looks like a piece by peice, model by model issue.
Some to the older HK stuff is still in high demand because the quality was exceptional.
