OT: Bugs - you still out there?

Bugs - I always liked your opinion - yours was a voice of reason in a sea of Pollyannas - haven't seen a post from you in awhile (not that I read all the forums anymore) - are you still around? How's the appraisal business? Any insights into current financial events?

4plexowner and bugs are two of my favorites posters.

The other Pollyannas are the ones who are several steps behind simply reacting to the events.

Or posters who irrationally rail against government interference, but when things get tough warn to "be careful what you wish for" (as if wishing otherwise would be helpful) then want a government bailout.

bugs is one of the few who saw the millions of foreclosures coming and large price drops in 50% range.

Thinking back it's funny that some posters confidently claimed that Fannie and Freddie were solid institutions. 1 million foreclosures was derided as "gloom and doom, gun and ammo." We are likely to have 10 million foreclosures before this is over.

He may have given up on piggington even since the place became poisoned with all the political crap (I recall him posting to that effect once). I've stopped visiting here regularly myself, and pray that we'll return to a sense of normalcy on November 5th. Maybe Bugs will be back then.

Even the "don't-click-on-political-subject" thread screening approach doesn't work too well here anymore. I'll click on a thread subject like "How bad has I-15 traffic been lately?" Only to see some dolt write something like "traffic would be fine if it wasn't for stupid evil (Bush/Obama)!" I feel like I've been rick-rolled.

Hm, that gives me an idea...
