July 16th is Ride to work day. I work at home but will take the bike out for a ride... Ride your motorcycle or scooter on this day to demonstrate:
That motorcyclists are from all occupations and all walks of life. That motorcyclists can reduce traffic and parking congestion in large cities. That motorcycles are for transportation as well as recreation. That motorcycling is a social good. Show 'em whatcha got jp!

Or if you don't have a motorcycle or a scooter, how about just ditch work that day?
That always works!
BTW I forgot to post the official ride-to-work website:

I wish I could drive my car to work. I have a trunk I have to haul to work, so unfortunately I can't take it. If there were a way to rig it, I would, but sensitive electronic equipment, so can't risk it.
I have a pdf file of stuff being hauled on scooters, but I can't seem to upload it.
Anyway, I kinda did my part b/c I had off work today.
I figured out how to upload it, but it's 1.12 MB and I don't have the original file to reduce it down to under 1 mb.
Off work until the week after that but I'll have to go for a ride in honor of the day.
I know I probably shouldn't even post this because it's gonna be negative. I initially thought motorcycles were cool, yada, yada. Not now. This young punk on a motorcycle cut in front of me the other day. I wanted to crash his a%% right off the road. ANYWAY, I'm seeing too many of them on the road now. I don't to share the street with them.
I would like to hear others thoughts on bicycle riders? How do you feel about sharing the road with them?
I personally cycle about 70 miles a week and try to commute by bike to work twice a week when possible. I think its great fun, exercise and saves me about $15 a week at the pump.
Does anyone else here commute to work on their bike?
Jim, in my opinion bikes are fine. I won't have to deal with you on the freeway and bike riders aren't as arrogant as the little punks on motorcycles.
