What do you guys think? I know... you either love him or hate him. As far as I know, I hate the greed on Wall Street, so I give this movie a 2 thumbs up no matter what.

While I find his stuff entertaining (I am a liberal and he is funny) I think that the NY Times referred to him as a bumper sticker masquerading as political ideology (or something similar).

Thats about right.
He raises a few good points and questions and then keeps going on for like 2 hours.

He is no John Stewart.
Stewart engages his opponents.
Moore just kind of screams in an echo chamber or chants against his opponents.
Not my favorite pundit or activist.

Haven't seen it, but will probably rent it. Despite being a gun owner and proponent of the 2nd amendment, I really enjoyed his documentary Bowling for Columbine.

I think what people ignored was that he said Gun ownership was NOT the problem. They just see it as an anti gun movie and don't watch it.

I think Michael Moore's career just jumped the shark.

Regarding Roger and me, the rabbit-skinning woman is hard to forget.

According to Leno (he was on last night) he's pretty rough on democrats in this one. He was really going after Dodd on the show last night...

I took "Film as Art" in my first semester of undergrad. We watched this film. I'll always remember the rabbit scene. And, I grew up in Michigan.

I'm generally a left-leaning guy but Michael Moore rubs me the wrong way. I agree with a lot of the arguments he makes, but the way he makes them can be pretty obnoxious. He's our version of Rush, I guess, except with a much smaller audience.

Michael Moore has been caught with too many falsehoods in his "documentaries" to be taken seriously. He pioneered in gotcha media, but misled and outright lied on too many occasions. I tend to tune out such idealogues, whether of the left or right.

I will be watching his movie at the theater because I want to support Michael Moore because he's entertaining.

I tune out those talking heads and they don't influence me. But if you want to feel the "pulse of the nation", you need to be aware of what these guys (Moore, Limbaugh, et al) are saying.

I take an interest in the news and current events but most people are too busy with their families and drama; so they only hear the sound bites. Unfortunate as it is, that's how they form their political opinions.

Pop culture shapes social trends and vice versa.
