Man uses pigs to trash house after foreclosureUser Forum Topic
Submitted by anxvariety on May 28, 2007 - 1:29pm
I didn't see this posted.. enjoy! Police in Clackamas County are looking for a man they say locked three live pigs in his house in the hopes that they would trash the place. All because he was upset the home went into foreclosure.

Animal cruely is disgusting. I'd like to put this guy and Michael Vick in a dog pit and the one that comes out alive gets prison for life.
Animal cruelty is a criminal offense.
But is it legal to destroy your house, if you feel like it (at least before the foreclosure)? Perhaps one needs a permit for that.
The prosecution will most likely get him on charges of animal cruelty.
I'm guessing that neither of you eat bacon?
Its not animal cruelty ... how is them sitting in an AC house with carpeting and hardwood floors cruelty. OK if they weren't fed ... OK fine. Or they were trapped more than they will ahve been in an outside sty OK its cruelty.
Now for the house itself, I doubt he will get charged at all, he may just say, that's how he lives normally, and foreclosure or no foreclosure, he keeps his pigs in the house. I know of dogs trashing a 400K house ... if it wasn't trashed it would have been a 800K house. Is that a crime ??? I'd say no. Too bad they sold it to a pig farmer without income verification or documentation about his employment and life.
BTW isn't the pig the mascot of the central CA valley ???
Cool.

There was damage to the house that was obviously done with the tractor. The front porch supporting beam was ripped out and other concrete damage that pigs can't do. He's going to be slapped with the short sale difference, so it's really himself he screwed but I guess he felt he had nothing to lose.
OK I haven't seen that article ... cannot do it from work y'know. But OK if that is the case its going to be bad for him. But Animal cruelty - prolly not for just putting pigs in a house.
Cool.

The animal cruelty comment comes from the quote in the article that he bragged/joked to someone that he didn't even leave them water like that would make them manic and lead them to cause more damage in a fit of rage.
If he wanted to do some real damage, he should have used the Monster Pig ...

Actually that guy's an idiot for more reason than the obvious. If it's in foreclosure then he technically no longer owns it (or owned it outright in the first place).
So now that he has damaged the bank's property I hope they file a vandalism AND animal cruelty fine/lawsuit against the guy.
He'll be living with the pigs shortly anyway.
Will the buyer of that lovely estate be required to feed the pigs?
OK I still didn't read the article ... cos I didn't log in from home last night. Anyway he didn't leave them water ??? Bad, what a pig no pun intended. Anyway, I doubt he'd be charged with vandalism, but animal cruelty now looks possible. Its his house, I doubt he broke in and put the pigs there after he was evicted after foreclosure. Till that happens its still his house. He could well claim that he grew up with pigs (the comment made to someone else will run counter to that if that someone will come up as a witness for the prosecution that is).
Cool.

As far as criminal charges go, I doubt that the DA will press charges. They've got bigger fish to fry.
As far as a civil lawsuit on the part of the lender is concerned, you can't get blood out of a turnip. It's the cost of doing business.
Some gruesome images.
The picture of the green pool with mosquitoes is interesting. When I was a kid, I used to think that only wildly rich people had swimming pools. Who would think that people with a pool would be in trouble?
