Housing bubble Haikus

After reading post after post of dense material on numbers & money, I figured we need to have a little fun on this forum, without going OT. So why not try out some bubble haikus? Just simple ones that follow the standard 5-7-5 syllable pattern, nothing fancy. Haven't done it since high school, but here's three, including one from the point of view of that dumbass husband who allows his wife and C21 broker Suzanne to force him into buying near the height of the bubble (remember that annoying commercial?):

Took an A R M
A winter wind chills my young bones
I fear the mailman

Did not want the house
My wife shrieked "we can do this"
Soon will kill Suzanne

I rent only for now
A tiger, I lie in wait
A thirties Spanish I stalk

Oops, I put seven syllables on the last line of the last haiku. Like I said, haven't done this since high school! :)

Sitting on my cash Too many

LAcrash - I think you may be confusing haiku with iambic pentameter. According to Wikipedia, five or even seven morae are acceptible. With that said, I was deeply moved by your haiku!

Here's my shot at it:

Want to live here in SoCal

But market has closed its doors

Will wait outside for a bit

And be patient with my cash

 

Homeprice graph on its side

Breast reduction in great need

Cannot purchase braziere

Big enough for large melon

 

If market no open doors

Within a couple of years

I will gather my family

And move to greener pastures (literally)

 

Breast reduction bad most times

But in this case very welcome

Oh please visit Doctor Rey

And bring back normal prices!
