Houses as aphrodisiacs

Good evening, Piggs. I went to a new home development on Friday, and their plans amazed me. This might seem silly, but since 99% of the model homes I've toured out here in Temecula/Murrieta are your typical cookie-cutter track homes, it's actually been a long time since I've been this excited!

All through the house, I was going, "Oh My God!...Oh My God!...Oh My God! I'd take a few steps, discover something else beautiful then it'd start again. There was a couple a few feet behind me who were also touring the models (the Asian guy was a cutie ;). This is funny, while I was upstairs being awed by the second floor, I heard the woman come in the front door and say, "Oh my God!" lol. Her husband was pretty excited as well.

I realize that I really need to feel this way about a house when I buy. I don't want to settle for run of the mill. How many of you share this view? Is this what they call buying on emotion? :)

I was pleasantly surprised that one of the guys didn't drop the "only a chick would get hot about a house" comment. Kudos to the gentlemen.

marion,

Thanks for sharing.
What exactly made that house so special? I bet it wasn't just its uniqueness, right?

Submitted by marion on February 10, 2008 - 3:14pm.

Sandi, yes, it was the uniqueness. The architecture/design was stunning.

Tell me more about the uniqueness and the stunning design, and write slowly baby, let's make this party last.

Oh, no. What did I say? I'm just in love with the house. They last longer than marriages.

That's why masonry is the oldest profession. The second oldest profession soon came after that :P.

Arty - are you saying that a mason who knows how to use his trowel will get to fill lots of cracks?
