Does anyone have idea what 500 W Harbor Dr is doing these days, the City Front Terrace place? Is appreciation slowing?

Best line: ' "If they don't go to medical school and become surgeons," Benjamin Leaf said, "if they don't find high-paying jobs, they won't be able to buy anywhere in Ocean Beach." Or, perhaps, anywhere in San Diego County. '

It'll be a whole city full of doctors. The surgeons will live on Soledad, and the GPs will live in OB, maybe nurses in Temecula. The hired help and restaurant workers will live in Palm Desert and commute or live out of their cars.

except during the height of the bubble even single income physician families couldn't afford.

here's a more realistic scenario:

orthopedic couple could buy in soledad, GP couple then live in OB, the single income GP or pediatrician commutes from Temecula, and the nurses would have to come in from Hemet.
