County Tax PageUser Forum Topic

For the second time, I have found a property I am looking to rent that will not pull up on the county tax recorder page. I have the parcel number and address, but all of the surrounding homes pull up with this one not listed. Any idea if owners can have their info hidden? I am trying to avoid renting a foreclosure, or a home where taxes are past due etc.

Yes, this happens and I don't know why. I suggest you go down to the county assessor's office. Look up the owner's name and then see if there are any notices of default against the owner. This way you will know if the person trying to rent to you is even the real owner of the property. There are too many scams out there these days to not be suspicious of all strangers.
Wow, I just signed up for my free 7-day trial on foreclosure.com and a whole new world has been opened up to me! The homes I am looking at are not listed there, so that gives me confidence, and also they are being rented via a property mgt. agency. Man are there ever alot of foreclosures out there!
