Bush sorry economic crisis has cut jobs, 401 (k)s

I am not making this up. Here is his statement that appeared with quotes, so I asssume they are his words.

"I'm sorry it's happening, of course," Bush said in a wide-ranging interview with ABC's "World News," which was airing Monday. "Obviously I don't like the idea of people losing jobs, or being worried about their 401(k)s. On the other hand, the American people got to know that we will safeguard the system. I mean, we're in. And if we need to be in more, we will."

Thank goodness we dont have to listen to this moron for much longer. I look forward to having a President that has mastered the English language whether I agree with his politics or not.

Come on, sdrealtor, that's just how rural Republicans talk. Bush and Palin are fine examples.

It's now OK to say nukular because when the terrorists mess with us we should just nuke 'em.

Want a good laugh?

On today's ABC World News show, Bush said that he's going to write a book.

A bit OT, but I noticed as quickly as they appeared on the forums, the Republican pundits that hijacked the boards before the election seemed to have crawled back down their holes.

Seriously true Paramount. While I don't care for dems, much, let's let the man do his job. It's his turn. I was here long before the GOP trolls so while I got caught up occasionally I wasn't starting new threads every day. I actually like coming to Piggington now knowing I can get in and out in less than 30 minutes. During the election was the first time I just let threads go unread. (some even in the non-political site.

I did not vote for Obama either but he is our leader and I will respect him and hope that he does do a good job. I don't believe in the sharing the wealth concept but I also believe in respecting our leader and pulling for him to better our country. I actually think the first two years he will lean very much towards the center.

Amen to filibuster. No democratic orgies in congress for us....

History may look back and say this was the most important election result evar.

GOP Senate win in Georgia means Dems can't halt filibusters.

(CNN) -- Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss claimed victory Tuesday in the Senate race in Georgia against Democrat Jim Martin, killing Democratic hopes of gaining enough seats to halt filibusters.

He also said in that interview, that his time as president has been "joyous". When asked how can it be joyous when we are at war, and people are losing jobs, he then backpedaled like crazy about how he bears the burden blah blah blah but it was still "joyous"

Bush really is stupid. After watching that interview with Charles Gibson, no wonder we’re in this mess. Bush sounds worse than Muhammad Ali. He couldn’t even put together one complete sentence. WTF….

So when does the economy really start to tank? Yeah, the way I see it. The big waterfall is still up ahead. If you haven't notice, it will look like this.

The Govt has bailed out as much money as it can/ The auto industry is still in termoil and doesn't even come close to selling the number of cars they'v projected, govt is broke and inflation takes over. That's when we'll have to develop a new term that makes the depression look like a cake walk.

So biased.

First of all, Bush had nothing to do with houses crashing and you all know it. I'm not defending his level of intelligence or anything else he did do but you can't blame him for what he's sorry American's are facing.

Secondly, if you think Republicans are dumb and Democrats are geniuses check out:

This interview is scary. I don't know if these are cherry picked but the fact that they vote democratic and don't know some of their own party representatives.. 3 of whom shot down attempts to regulate Freddie, Fannie is scary. While the problem is not only limited to Freddie and Fannie, both of these institutions were the underpinning, including the underpinning of the Banks own collateralization. The banks sell the mortgage off to Freddie and Fannie and buy Freddie and Fannie stock because it is deamed as 'secure' and pays a dividend in return. Freddie and Fannie drop.. the banks collateralization is at risk. In addition, Freddie and Fannie set the bar for what is considered near zero risk loan purchases. Everything else falls out at higher risk.

A little more.. ignore/turn down the sound-track.. some may find it irritating.. nice graphs though. Ignore stuff beyond 9:45.. because it gets political. You can pause the frames and look up what is posted to verify.

No, but Karl Rove is trying to rewrite history.

Now Bush is saying the CIA goofed on the intel info regarding WMDs.

Never mind that Dick Cheney was looking over analysts shoulders at the pentagon, handpicking info that supported the war in Irag, outing an undercover CIA agent whose info didn't support going into Iraq, pinning it on Scooter Libby, then Bush pardoning SL later...

Bush had said in prior interviews that he would have gone into Iraq whether or not they had WMDs.

But who really cares... I'd love to have a beer with him.

So biased,
Do you believe every web site you read, or only those you agree with? I don't like Obama, nor McCain, nor any of the other "candidates" we had. Ron Paul is a bit over the edge, but he was the only candidate, vaible or not, that talked about really fixing big problems like the monetary policy.
As far as "howobamagotelected.com" or "howmccainscreweditup.com", we're bickering over nonense while the store is being looted.

Submitted by reddgreen on December 4, 2008 - 1:20pm.

Ahh, and that web site is not at all biased. Do you *honestly* think that a similar cross section of ill-informed republicans voting for McCain could not be found. American PEOPLE aren't much involved in the voting process, i.e. education on the candidates, and their issues.

Im no Obama fan, nor am I a fan of McCain, or Guiliani, or any of the other losers we had for candidates.

If you believe what that web site is selling, then you get what you deserve. Its not a "republican vs democrat" or "liberal vs conservative" issue. Its much bigger than that. While we're bickering over which candidate will destroy the country as we know it, we're getting stuck with loser candidates all around.

I don't believe George W Bush is stupid, not for one second. (For the record, Im no fan of ANYTHING that the Bush Administration has "accomplished")

I do believe that he has undergone some kind of severe emotional catastrophe. Find two photos of George Bush, one from the 1990's, and one from post 09/11, e.g. 2006 or 2007. If you draw a line vertically down the center of his face, and reflect left on right and right on left, you'll see a scary change. The excercise might indicate that Mr Bush is bipolar, and the severity might have increased.

You can also see marked changes in his speech patterns. He gets confused and loses the context of his arguments often. He looks visibly frustrated when this happens. Sometimes, there's a long pause before he thinks of something to continue with. This stuff has all happened or gotten much, much worse over the past 5 years.

Some might say that the awful things that Mr Bush has helped occur in our country have had a very negative affect on him, and his personality.

Its pretty frightening. So, over the past 8 years, who has really been running our country? Is Dick Cheney really the president pulling the strings?
