Best Sources for Open House Listings

I'll be in San Diego this weekend and I wanted to check out some open houses in Encintas and Ranch Santa Fe. Can anyone recommend a good web site or newspaper for open house listings in these areas? I was hoping to get a list on Friday or Saturday so I could map out the most efficient route beforehand. I haven't hooked up with a realtor yet and would prefer not to until I am sure we will be relocating to the area. Thanks

There really is no good source as most open houses are not advertised. I live and work in the area so I know the routine pretty well. Saturdays have less open houses than Sundays. Most open houses run from 12 to 4. Best advice is to drive around and look for signs. There are lots of very good, expereinced agents working in that area. Just be careful of a few sharks wading in waters.

Ziprealty.com claims to show which homes have open days. There is a little red house icon that shows up next to the ad. Why it isn't advertised I don't know. Maybe something to do with security?
