Are builders still building homes?User Forum Topic
Submitted by gracie on October 16, 2008 - 3:23pm
How are the builders doing? Are any new developements being developed? I recently saw workers onlong Camino del Sur looking like they were possibly getting ready to grade some land that is owed by the Pardee Company. With people losing there homes and the credit crunch...Are there any buyers out there? What builder would be crazy enough to possibly START a project in this economic climate? I don't want to be a taxpayer having to fund that builders loses!

They better not stop building houses. Where else would my son and I "find" wood for building our go-karts.
Del Mar Mesa looks like it is going foward...They are grading the lots in the proposed Del Mar Mesa area (Shaw Lorenz ranch i think it is called)at the east end of Carmel Moutain Rd. in the CV..They are big lots with what would be large homes i assume in the 4000 - 5000 sq ft range...Maybe pricing close to 2 million when you consider the landscaping, etc....Can't see any demand for these but the big plan 3s at Derby Hill in the CV seemed to sell well....
Does anyone have anymore info about this development????
