Anyone else keep getting logged out?
User Forum Topic

Yesterday and today I've been getting logged out of piggington whenever I click on a thread. Is it just me?

I had to log back in to post this
I installed a new caching system yesterday to improve site performance. This is surely it; I will look into it.
BTW it's more helpful to email me about stuff like this than to post a forum thread because I don't always see the latter.

I've been getting randomly logged out of piggington too. Same thing happening with at least two other sites. Started a week or two ago.
Are you using Firefox?
esmith, I suspect this is a coincidence as the timing of the OP's problems coincides perfectly with my caching system installation.
Folks who are having a problem do me a favor and try this:
First, actually log out and then log back in again (You were never logged out in the first place, but were just erroneously shown the cached version of the page that is usually shown to logged out users.)
If it keeps happening, please let me know if you have a cookie called DRUPAL_UID set for piggington.com. If you have this cookie, you shouldn't have a problem. I am hoping that the problem is that you didn't have the cookie before, but that the logging out/back in will set it for you.
Email rich at piggington if you need more info.
Rich
UPDATE - PS - you have to allow cookies from piggington.com or you will continue having this problem.
Yes, I'm using Firefox.
Just logging out and back in fixed the problem. Thanks Rich.
Excellent... I'm glad it wasn't something more complicated. :-)
Thanks for the followup; I will post something on the front page so people know to do this.
