I am looking for feedback/comments on when to buy a house in Del Cerro, 92120. We are currently renting in the area and will probably eventually buy. But looking at the attached chart, it seems waiting would be prudent as the direction of prices is probably still down. Take a look at the attached 92120 specific chart. It was compiled using data from the SD Union/Trib website; http://www.signonsandiego.com/sdhomes/ar...

I wouldn't know when, but waiting is in your favor I think. House come up for sale less often than other neighborhoods, and that has slowed the downward spiral somewhat. Even now with the median price in the city going up, 92120 is still declining.
I would wait till the off season to pick a place. Looks for the bargains this dec/jan.
Right now you can visit the areas you like. Maybe even park at night time to see what the traffic neighborhood is like.
Cool chart wawardal. You can find similar charts of neighborhoods (unfortunately of shorter durations) at Rereport.com
They aren't as good as your chart, but its still useful to keep your eyes on a basket of neighborhoods rather than just one imo.
