Last year in the spring,(10556 Dabney Dr) a home in the same neighborhood with the same floor plan, was listing at $499K. We asked our realtor (my sister in law) if we could offer it for $450K. She said they will not accept any offer lower than $490K. A month later, some body paid $510K for it. We feel very fortunate that we couldn't buy the Dabney house last year. Hope prices will continue to go down and some thing like this will be around $350K soon. I got the pic of the house from Google map. The house looks better in life than in this picture.

Why are you implying that short sales go nowhere? Short sales are now making up a larger component of total sales, more then ever before. The problem is that short sales take an extraordinary amount of time AND patience and yes sometimes they do not go through because the lender will not accept them or they do not process them in a timely manner.
They do indeed complete though.
