I excerped a paragraph from thehousingbubble.com that had some interesting data. Seems that 1999 price target is expected in Napa county. Here is the snippet.

From the Weekly Calistogan...

“All Napa and American Canyon homes purchased after 1999 are expected to decline in value relative to their purchase prices, Tuteur said. In Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga, those who bought after 2001 should brace for a decline. ‘Now we’re finding homes that were purchased earlier than the bubble, (where) the decline has actually dropped below bubble prices,’ Tuteur said.”

Interesting...

Just keep in mind that up valley Napa is a really small sample size. The town of Napa isn't very big either. It is interesting to hear that someone (though the source isn't named) feels prices are heading back to 1999. Maybe the bubble in house prices in Napa started early? A lot of tech boom money flowed up there.
